Tips to Help Cheer Yourself Up When Your SAD

When life gets you down or your feeling sad for one reason or another, following some of the below tips might possibly snap you out of it.

Think of a time when you really laughed so hard that you cried and your stomach ached, remember a funny incident, a funny saying or joke, a funny film, visualise it in your mind and relieve it, you may find yourself smiling again.

Lots of phones have applications like photo booth where you can make your face look stretched, squished or warped in some other way, or you could download a program on to your home computer or laptop. Take loads of photos and save the one that makes you laugh the most and save it on your phone, look at it again when your feeling blue to have a chuckle.

Sit outside in nature, look at all the things around you, close your eyes and feel the breeze, think about how magical nature is and how beautiful it is, this may relax you enough to cheer you up.

Chuck that diet or healthy eating, tuck into a big slice of cake or biscuits or whatever your thing is, snuggle up on the sofa with a blanket and the television remote and munch away.

Watch a good comedy that will leave you in stitches, Jim Carey is one actor who never fails to make me laugh a lot.

Play with children, or go to a relatives or friends house who has children, play at building Lego or with barbie dolls or do puzzles or play hide and seek, children have a natural in built ability for fun, they don't need to find fun it seeks them out, play with them and you may find yourself laughing and joking and really enjoying yourself.

Meet up with any friends that are usually happy and positive, maybe go for a drink or for a meal or something with them, like attracts like, surround yourself with happiness and it may catch on.

If you are a spiritual person you could ask your guides or angels to help you feel happier or ask the universe to bring you happiness, think positive and pretend to be happy.

One way I have found to regain strength is to think of days when I felt besieged and I came out of it unscathed soon after. So this will also pass is my motto! siva
