This summary is given while experiencing a visit from a visitor who is prepared to use electronic cigarettes during this time. The advantages and disadvantages cannot be decided by the author, who is a non-smoker.

A Smoking Computer?

The advent of smoking bans across the U.S. has brought about the introduction of the electronic cigarette. A charger, placed in a USB port, ensures that an electronic cigarette is always on hand, charged and ready for use.
Here we have my computer with its electronic cigarette on charge.

A Smoking Microwave?

An electronic cigarette, fully charged, will also be availabe for coffee, after a meal.
This is a comforting sight to a smoker who has recently given up cigarettes.
The electronic cigarette, glowing at the tip, is ready to use.
There is no smoke to distract a non-smoker, food retains its own taste and smoke does not float across the table to a companion, but only a harmless vapor.

A Smoking Television?

A cigarette, while watching television, is a usual combination for many of us.
Now there is available the electronic cigarette. Always ready, no need to find a light, no need to look for an ashtray and no need to anticipate the objection of a non-smoking companion.
No more need to miss part of a program for a cigarette break and certainly no need to rush to the local store for a pack.
Your prestige as a "smoke-less smoker" will become more widespread. Invitations to friends' homes will not be interrupted by your disappearance to leave and stand outside while you support their right to a smoke-free home.

A Smoking Car?

In the car, the cigarette is right there to enjoy on your ride to work.No need to carry a packet of cigarettes and a lighter. Here is your cigarette, ready and waiting, plugged into the cigarette lighter in the car.
Buy a new car and there will be no need to worry about accumulating a "smoky interior".
Smoke happily along and lift the ban for a ride on smokers once they have obtained their electronic cigarettes.

A Smoke-Free Home!

Only temporarily experiencing the disadvantages of a cigarette smoking visitor and the possible advantages of electronic cigarettes, the author is giving a unbiased opinion.

Smoking was one of the dumbest things I ever did, I started in my early twenties, finally quit a few years ago.
Your article was very entertaining.

Hi Ivyevelyn,

That was a great presentation, you've done it superbly, the smoking technology that's odorless and user-friendly!

What I observed is now all the companions gadgets (the car, the computer, the oven and the TV) of a smoker have become chronic smokers, but for a good cause of promoting health!

I'm always waiting to read more on your pages.

What I'm finding from your writings is that you're a normal person and you don't have that any kind of OCD, hence there's absolutely no need to fear of such self-diagnosis.

I've started puffing on this electronic cigaret, Ivy, and it tastes just as good as the real thing. I don't know what chemicals they put in this thing, though. Enjoyed reading your post. Take care.

Buzz: I am not sure what is in the electronic cigarette. Good for you that you are giving it a try. It amuses me to see the TV, the microwave, the computer and the car, all smoking!

Ivyevelyn - try occupymarines.com - in my comment I left out the 's'.

I read the above again - technology can be put to some very good uses. I hear that electronic cigarettes are far more effective than gum or the patch.

To answer Buzz' question - I am told there is only nicotine and nothing else, none of the 1000 other chemicals that are in brand name smokes.

Steve: Thanks for giving me the website. The media must be muzzled. There seems to be an undercurrent of unrest, building up until the media will have to report on it. If the marines are on active duty, surely they are taking a serious risk.

As much as I do not like smoking, I think this article is cool. At least it is informing. Great work!
