Has math done a number on you? Well, read on - you have company.

O my stars! Math will be the death of me!

One day a serpent raises its hood,
And integrates all for its good,
Then, it decides to do a reversal,
And proclaims that it is a differential.

O my stars! Math will be the death of me!
One day it hops on a wave and calls itself sine,
Then it grounds itself next to a slope, says ‘cos I’m thine,

O my stars! Math will be the death of me!
“Find x”, says a voice, on and off,
“What a silly guy he is, for always getting lost”, I scoff,

O my stars! Math will be the death of me!
Those darn numbers, arrayed in a matrix,
Hiding in an adjoint, sliding to an inverse, I hate those tricks.

O my stars! Math will be the death of me!
“What are my roots”, asks an equation quadratic,
“Oh, for god’s sake, just look underneath, don’t be so melodramatic.”

O my stars! Math will be the death of me!
“Look at me”, called the sigmoid & sinusoid, hyperbola & parabola,
“Stop, you’re splitting my head”, says I, “You’re worse than the ebola.”

{from a survivor of the Math Holocaust, who now (gasp, horror of horrors!) teaches Math}

Take a magnifying glass and start counting all X's and Y 's then you will know maths is easy
and
now you know why differentiate between X and Y
you'd start loving maths really and daily

I hated math in school but it is beneficial in adult life.
