This story is not only funny but it's also true. A dedication to my sweet grandmother.

My sweet grandmother from my father side.

This is a story when I was only 10 years old.
My father told us that his mother was coming for a visit and staying with us for a bit.
Now I had never seem anyone from his family this was going to be so much fun.
My mother on the other hand was not so happy about it.
I later on asked her, why she was not pleased about.
She says, “Well for one thing we don’t speak the same language, so how am I supposed to deal with this when we can not even talk.”
To stop her from worrying about it, I told my mom don’t worry, all grandmother likes kids I’ll keep her busy.

The day came when my father went to the airport to get his mother. My mother was so nervous; she told me I never saw this woman now she will be here day and night.
I had asked my father if I could go with him to pick her up. He stated no that they needed some time along to reconnect together.
The day was so long for me; my mother had everything ready for her mother in law.
When my father arrived with his mother everyone was on hedge, my mother and my father and of course my new grandmother.

True love does not need any language it comes from the heart

I notice that she had glasses too and right way I knew we could laugh over it, us been the only two wearing glasses.
My father says to me. Say hello to your grandmother.
I had no idea how to say hello to her, just before that they were talking funny.
So when she bends down to give me a kiss our glasses bumped into each other. She said something I had no idea what it was, but it sound funny to me, at the time.
So I took off my glasses and gave it to her, she took them off my hand and tried to look at me. Of course I could not see what she was doing.
She gives me hers in return. I put them on and oh my goodness she was huge she scared me that I backed up and landed on my poor mother.
My father was laughing which for him it never happened. On that day we became best friends.
Our favorite place was to go outside and sit in the sun. I guess she didn’t like been near my mother.
I showed her how to crochet first just a braid, I could not explain it due to the fact I spoke 3 other language but not Hebrew, so I showed to her how in slow motion.
My mother called me in for something that she needed help with, and of course her way of asking me, how my grandmother was doing.
I told her she was nice to me and that I like her.
We made tea for our afternoon break and when we went outside my dear grandmother had made this huge braid that was almost the length of 3 people. She had a huge smile, she was so happy that she could do it and she was fast too.
My mother says to me, OH Great she is making a rope to hang you and me for this one.
My dear grandmother stayed with us for 6 months and in 6 months we did so much together all with any of us speaking the right language. She talked in Hebrew I spoke to her in Portuguese and some days I spoke to her in Spanish it did not matter we loved each other and love has no language. This is the only photo I have of her; she is now in the other side probably laughing at me for writing this story

Your posts are straight from your heart and that makes them compelling, enjoyable, read. What a world it will be if we speak the common language of love and that is what creation is about - siva
