A silly tale about a mop and bucket, with a moral at the end.

Mr Bucket & Mrs Mop Jones.

Mr Bucket and Mrs Mop Jones lived in a farmhouse in Wales. Mrs Mop Jones had blonde hair and a very slim body. She would move from place to place by floating.

Mr Bucket Jones had grey hair and was tubby and when he moved would clatter and bang which would annoy Mrs Mop.

When cleaning the farmhouse floors Mr Bucket would hold the soapy water as he was strong and Mrs Mop would dip in and out of the water when mopping the floor.

Now one Sunday when there was no work to be done Mrs Mop was cooking the Sunday lunch, She had an accident when taking the roast out of the oven because the tray slipped out of her hands and all went on to the floor. This made a terrible mess of the giant chicken lips they were going to have.

She screamed out to Mr Bucket " Get yourself in here now !" Mr Bucket moaned " OK just a flipping minute " He then rattled and banged in a very bad mood making his way to the kitchen. Because Mr Bucket had rattled and banged more than usual he sprang a leak. This made Mrs Mop work twice as hard as normal as she had to get the job done before the water ran out.

Now the moral to this tale is ` You don`t want a holey bucket on a Sunday !
