Things that make you go hmmm ?? Maybe you have wondered about this too?

Braille for the blind on drive-thru ATM machines

I have jumped in my wife's Blogging chair for a minute to ponder with everyone something I have always pondered...

In America (not sure about the Philippines) we have drive through ATM machines. You pull up in your car, ATM machine is on the drivers side
and you of course do the rest to get your money. Question I am wondering is this and I really would like some feedback if you could clear this up for me...

Why is it that they have the buttons on the DRIVE-THRU ATM machine with Braille for the blind?
I don't know about you guys but I have never seen a blind man driving a car!
I have also never seen a blind person walk up to the drive-thru with his blind stick tapping away and feeling with his hands to find the machine.

So please someone help me stop these many years of pondering and tell me WHY ?

hmmmmm......it could be a crazy idea, but of course, we can think that these blind people would have someone with them to drive them to an ATM machine, right? LOL

I can tell you why lol

If someone who is not blind takes a blind person to the ATM, then the blind can read whatever it is that the atm says.

Still seems kinda pointless to me.

A blind person doesn't drive but yes, they are able to get to the ATM if they count the number of steps they take to reach the place along with time signals. That is exactly why they have dogs showing the way and taking them correctly to the place.
Its all about training you mind to be able to do your normal tasks and Braille writing on the keypads would help them a lot and it is reading and seeing through the fingers.

They most certainly cannot drive as they will cause more accidents rather than goodness for their disability.

With sincere respect to those who are blind, you make a fair point.
Have to put my hands up to being amused at your dry humour lol
