10 Wholesome Pickup Lines That Work

These are collections of pickup lines that appear to be clichés. Some of them sounded cheesy yet they actually work…sometimes. I tried some of them. Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes I get embarrassed. Still, I believe they are worth trying. You may try them to see for yourself. Good luck!

1. Can I buy you a something? This is applicable if you are in a store or in a supermarket.
2. I got lost… do you know where this direction is going? This works well if you are in the street and you happened to walk by that person.
3. Do you often visit this place? This is best suited in places like park, museum, library and other places people love to spend time to unwind.
4. You look so familiar… Have we met before? You can use this if both of you are “stuck” in one place together like an elevator or a hobby of an office you both visited.
5. You really are so pretty. This can be offensive depending on how you say it. You have to mean when you say it.
6. Do you mind if I ask you something? This is applicable anytime, anywhere. If presented well and followed with real sincere question, this is the best and the most wholesome pickup line.
7. Sorry, were you that girl from TV? This works well if you two are in the mood to have fun. If the person doesn’t appear to be willing to have conversations, then this won’t really work.
8. Do you know what this place is? I personally have used this when I was heading home riding a bus. It worked well. We had fun having conversations until I arrived home.
9. Do you believe in déjà vu? This can be tricky. If you don’t give clear follow up question, you might confuse the person you’re talking to. And that would lead you to embarrassment.
10. You have a very beautiful smile! If you are in a party mood, this really works best. It includes when you’re in a beach or in a non-formal party.
What I like about these lines is that they are very wholesome. They don’t sound arrogant or malicious or offensive.
Lots of pickup lines are actually available in the internet. Some of them even talk about sex directly. For me, that is not cool. They don’t show sincerity. They are unfriendly. Pickup lines are supposed to be an introduction to a stranger who is your prospect friend in the future. They are a tool to break the ice between you and the person you barely just met.
